I used to call myself lucky, now I know I was prepared, says one of the youngest Editor-In-Chiefs in magazine history. Born and raised in Brooklyn, DANICA DANIEL grew up with pen marks on her clothes and ink on her fingers. By 15 she was working as a consultant and freelance writer for several local upstart magazines and traveling to the offices of Teen People serving as a Trendspotter and tastemaker even then. In 2004 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse Universitys S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, the top journalism program in the country, and landed a job as an associate editor at Right On! magazine. At 22 years old, Danica Daniel was appointed to the top spot at not one, but two of the leading and longest running urban teen music magazines in the biz. After six years she served as the Editor-In-Chief of Black Beat & Right On! magazines, Editorial Director at RightOnMag.Com and the host of Right On! TV. Today Danica, spends her days balancing an intense schedule that includes, meeting and interviewing the likes of P. Diddy, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Common and T.I. Nights are spent attending concerts, artist showcases and some of the most exclusive parties in N.Y.C.
